Do you want to Foster for Birmingham
The number of Birmingham children in need of foster care is increasing all the time. At present, over 300 foster carers are desperately needed to cope with the shortfall in Birmingham.
Core Children’s Services is working in partnership with Birmingham City Council to tackle this problem. Together we’re working to help place children in need of foster care into happy and safe homes, either on a
long-term or temporary basis.
Core Children’s Services provide a wide range of locally based services focused on the wellbeing and safety of children and young people throughout the UK.
With an extensive combined history of working with children in the social care sector, Core Children’s Services and Birmingham City Council are dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for children.
Through this joint venture, Core Children’s Services is recruiting new foster carers who will be supported by Birmingham City Council to provide crucial placements for children in need.
Why Foster for Birmingham?
For some children, a placement outside of the Birmingham boundary is needed. If you’re based on the outskirts of the city, whether you live in Lichfield, Tamworth, Solihull, North Warwickshire (including Atherstone, Coleshill, Polesworth, Furnace End and Nuneaton), Bromsgrove, Redditch, Walsall, Sandwell or Dudley – you could help provide a great home for children from Birmingham.
So why foster for Birmingham? It could be that you’ve got strong links with Birmingham through your own family, or maybe you grew up there yourself. Whatever the reasons, fostering for Birmingham can be truly rewarding.
